It is difficult to know exactly how long Effective Papers has been in business. On its site, it states that it began in 2004; at another point, it states that is has been around for 5 years; and its copyright states 2008. We were able to find an online history dating back to 2011. Our Effective Papers review is the result of our investigation of the company website, products and services offered, customer support, pricing, Effective Paper testimonials found on the website, a thorough search for reviews, comments, and feedback on the web, and our own experience with the process of ordering and receiving a research paper. The summary that follows is the combined results of our investigation.
Services and Features Available
Effective Papers offers only academic writing products and services, and it does so to students at any academic study level – high school through graduate and professional programs. It lists all of the products and services on its home page, and further describes those services in a series of footer pages accessed at the bottom of each landing page. All of the typical academic products are offered, from basic essays to thesis and dissertations.
Services include editing and proofreading of already completed student work, as well as a plagiarism checker for student to paste in their own writing for a scan.
Customer support is advertised as being available 24/7. However, the phone line is not active for a 24-hour period beginning at midnight (GMT) on Saturday and going through Sunday. The live chat feature is available 24/7, and we checked availability on Sunday. However, the problem with this feature is that it appears to be only an answering service, and the “reps” cannot answer detailed questions.
Pricing System and Discounts
We found EffectivePapers prices in the above-average range. A basic high school essay with a long lead time was priced at $12/page. Ph.D. level work was priced at $50/page with an urgent deadline of 8 hours. When we entered all of the details on our order form, we discovered that there were no EffectivePapers.com discounts for new customers, and our price for an 8-page college level research paper was $184.00. we contacted customer support to inquire about any Effective Papers promo codes we might be able to use and were told that there were none until customers reached the point of spending at least $500 with the company. At that point, customers are provided an EffectivePapers coupon code to enter into the order form for their discounts. A 15% discount can be earned after a customer has spent a total of $2000 on orders.
Security Level (and how to proceed with payment)
Initially, payment methods are advertised a being through PayPal and Skrill. However, once a customer gets to the checkout phase, all major credit cards are also accepted. There is a secure third-party processor, so there are no security concerns in providing personal financial information.
Writer Expertise and Delivery
Here is where our concerns began. The company advertises only ENL writers; however, the quality of writing on the site itself reflects ESL writing. Further, the samples and other articles housed on the blog are poorly written. Our EffectivePapers reviews of these writing example result in a rating of “Fair” at best.
EffectivePapers customer reviews speak to the same issues we found. While they receive their orders on time, the quality is not what it should be. Most had to ask for revisions. Our ordered paper reflected grammatical and word usage issues that would be typical of an ESL writer. We therefore question the company promise that all writers are native English-speaking and from English-speaking universities.
On-time delivery is not an issue. However, we asked how quickly a full dissertation, complete with original research, could be delivered and were told within 7 days – impossible, of course.
Additional Benefits
There are free title pages, bibliographies, and revisions within the “rules” established by the company revision policy. Students request revisions through their personal account and must do so within 7 days of product receipt.
Conclusion
Our EffectivePapers.com review covered all aspects of this company. We do find that Effective Papers is legit, and student can feel comfortable through the ordering process. Quality, however, is a big concern, and we suspect the company is not totally honest about its writers’ backgrounds and qualifications.
