Table of Contents
We are confused. Teacheron.com appears to a site that offers tutoring in all content areas to students at all levels. From this point on, our efforts to conduct a full Teacher On review were hampered by the rather disjointed nature of the explanations of exactly how the service operates. But we have persevered, and are here to let students know what we have been able to find. This TeacherOn.com review is the best that we have actually been able to find out about this company.
Services and Features Available
As we stated above, the company offers tutoring – both online and in-home. It has produced a map of where its tutors reside – mostly in Africa, South America, and a few Eastern European, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries. There are no tutors in the UK, only a few in the U.S., and none in all of Western Europe. We wonder how much in-home tutoring can actually occur.
So, it appears that most tutoring will occur online, and certainly there is nothing wrong with that.
The site advertises itself as a free “matching” service between students in need and registered tutors. As such, it does not really have the normal contacts, pricing schedules, or Teacher On testimonials, nor were we able to find any TeacherOn reviews on the web.
Pricing System and Discounts
This is where things get pretty confusing. There are no set TeacherOn prices. However, in order to find tutors, students must buy “coins” which are paid for in their native currencies. And tutors who wish to be registered must buy “coins” to do that. These coins can only be used on the website and are never refundable for cash. Obviously, there are no Teacher On promo codes and any other types of discounts or pricing schedule. Prices are negotiated between students and their tutors, and payments are made to the tutors themselves. This raises huge security issues with regard to personal and financial information of students who use this service.
Security Level
In short, there is no guaranteed security. We would never advise students to surrender their payment information.
Writer Expertise and Delivery
Obviously, we will not comment on writer expertise, because the tutors do not write, at least they say they do not. Most of them, in fact, seem to be in science, computer, and math areas. And most are foreign-born, so would not be expert in scholastic writing, at least at the university level.
We have not found any TeachOn customer reviews regarding their experiences with these tutors, and so we cannot comment on their performances. We normally place an order with sites we review, but, in this case, we did not trust the payment processes.
Additional Benefits
There are none, as far as we can tell from this confusing site. Students pay coins to contact tutors; tutors pay coins to register. From that point forward, any agreements and transactions occur between students and their tutors. While the company insists that it is a free site, it does sell coins for real currencies.
Conclusion
What can we say? This is probably the worst academic assistance company we have encountered. We understand that this TeacherOn.com review provides very little information. We would advise students never to use this site for any academic help, and our TeacherOn.com rating is off the charts in the “poor” category.
